Offering a beautiful antique
silverplate spirit kettle on a warming stand by William Padley & Son Ltd
of Sheffield England.
This silverplate
teapot has a hand-engraved oval body and wooden handle, with bands of intricate
floral decoration, a removable lid with wooden finial, and sits on its original
stand with four flanged feet. The bottom of the teapot is stamped with the
makers mark
W P & S
with the ‘palm
of hand’ and numbered

Padley & Son Ltd, of Sheffield England circa late 1800’s.

the stand
Teapot measures 7 ¾”
high x 9” long x 5 ½” wide
Stand measures 3 ¾”
high x 7” long x 5 ¼” wide
In very good antique
condition, free of plate loss or denting to the exterior, though a few minor
scratches,  interior has some plate
loss and some scratching at the strainer holes as shown and some pitting on the
bottom. The finial on the lid needs to be tightened a bit, could use minor polishing.
Burner not included.
